The big question is: who could it be?
The 26th season of The Simpsons will air this fall and with it comes a very deathly promise.
The show’s executive producers Al Jean and Matt Selman have come out to warn fans about a death so shocking it will make the Game of Thrones Purple Wedding seem like a walk in the park.
Jean said:
“This is going to be a bigger deal than King Joffrey on Game of Thrones –- the Yellow Wedding! The character that dies is portrayed by an actor who won an Emmy for playing that character.
“It’s a terrific character and it [happens in] our premiere this coming year.”
While we might be sad and shocked at the loss of a character, in a show like the Simpsons dead doesn’t always mean dead forever.
Just take Brian in Family Guy, for example.

Why on earth was Joffrey’s death considered shocking? Has nobody read the book?
