Grew up in the Coal River Valley Tasmania. Eldest of four boys. English 10 pound migrant parents. Worked on dairy at 13, brickies labourer 19. Trained as a precision machinist. Studied UTAS and graduated Bachelor of Technology. 17 Years Structural Engineer at Incat Tasmania. Designing High Speed Catamarans, epitaph 99M 60Knot “Francisco” powered by 2x 25Megawatt LM2500 GE Gas turbines. Designed and built own energy efficient home. Keen mountain biker, Sailor, Dragon Boater. Father of two beautiful daughters.
