About Dr. Craig Detweiler
Filmmaker Craig Detweiler, Ph.D., directs the Center for Entertainment, Media and Culture at Pepperdine University. His books include the first collection on theology and video games: Halos and Avatars: Playing Video Games with God and Into the Dark, which searches for the sacred amidst the top-ranked films on IMDB. His latest documentary, (un)Common Sounds, explores peacemaking via Muslim and Christian ethnomusicologists. Other books are: Don’t Stop Believin’: Pop Culture and Religion from Ben Hur to Zombies, and his latest book, iGods.
