This article, first of all, gives one man's perspective about how media sent him, as a boy, incomplete messages about what manhood is all about. Secondly, it challenges our tendency to define ourselves based on appearances and comparisons with others, instead of defining ourselves based on what's real, that which is in our hearts. The rock and roll song, Grand Illusion, is used as a prompt for these "life lessons."
