About Tristan Miller
Born in the sleepy town of Hendricks, MN, and raised in the sleepier small towns of South Dakota, Tristan began his work of storytelling at home from an early age. Encouraged by his parents, he and his sisters joined theatre troupes, studied art, wrote poems, and generally lived an idyllic life of young people interested in the arts. In 2013, Tristan graduated from NYCDA in New York City. Two years later, he received a diagnosis of Bipolar II Disorder. It was then that he began his podcast “Positive and Negative,” went into therapy and began performing stand-up comedy.
Tristan has had one desire all his life, that of telling stories. Whether it be fictional stories through acting, his story through stand-up comedy and poetry, or letting others tell their story on his podcasts, Tristan believes that stories are the key to understanding humanity. It is through stories that we can achieve the joyful sanctity of empathy.
