I am a 12x published children's book author and multidisciplinary fine artist practicing in the mediums of drawing, graphic design/illustration, painting and collage. I have showcased my work nationally and internationally. Born in Alaska, I am the daughter of a 3rd-generation salmon boat captain and spent every summer working on the Aleutian Peninsula with my family. I spent my primary school years in Mukilteo, WA and later moved with my family to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I attended Duke University on a full athletic scholarship and graduated with a B.F.A. in 2009. After college, I worked for many years as a freelance yacht stewardess in both New England and the Pacific Northwest to supplement my art career. I have been an avid writer since 2010 after taking up blogging and started writing my first children’s book back in the summer of 2018.
