Created by Nathan Golon, that short film shows part of the task in educating fathers around the world. And promote responsive fatherhood.
Longer, moving, beautiful movies created for that campaign about fathers in Brazil, Nicaragua, Rwanda and Sri Lanka can be watched here. We get to know those men and realize what a fantastic task empowering fathers is.
About MenCare
MenCare is a global fatherhood campaign. It is coordinated by numerous NGO working with men worldwide. Promundo (from Brazil), Sonke (South Africa) and Men Engage are the biggest networks involved.
Its mission is to promote men’s involvement as equitable, non-violent fathers and caregivers in order to achieve family well-being and gender equality.
According to Mencare’s website:
“Approximately four out of five men worldwide will be fathers at somepoint in their lives; and nearly all the world’s men have some connection to children as stepfathers, brothers, uncles, grandfathers, teachers, mentors, coaches or simply as friends.
Globally, an overwhelming amount of evidence confirms that engaged, responsive fatherhood and men’s participation in their children’s lives have positive effects for women, children and men themselves; these benefits include, among others, gender equality, women’s empowerment and non-violence.”

Now that mothers expect fathers to pitch in is when the raising of children started to deteriorate because many refused to step up. This is… Read more »
