Most people equate wealth to financial prosperity. For many, having an abundance of money and valuable possessions is synonymous with wealth. Still, others believe that individuals communicate their wealth through style, elegance, and luxury. All of these things reflect tangible indicators of wealth.
Wealth is also intangible. It reflects the layers of benefits one receives when they are successful.
If you have begun reading this article because you were attracted to the headline like a magnet because of your insatiable desire to accumulate this type of wealth, I very respectfully and humbly invite you to stop reading this article.
However, if you want to reap robust benefits associated with the success of your sons and daughters, keep reading.
How Parents Become the Beneficiary

Parents who assume an active role in their child’s education from their earliest beginnings throughout their school experience position their sons and daughters for educational success. It’s all about parent engagement.
I define parent and family engagement as
“the mutual cooperation, dedication, and support parents, as well as caregivers, share with educators as children are being educated.”
When parents partner with their child’s educators, the powerful outcomes shown below are released to learners.
- Students perform at higher academic levels. Homework is completed regularly and students complete their educational tasks more consistently.
- Students develop self-advocacy skills.
- The behavior of students is more appropriate.
- School attendance is more consistent.
- Students are more apt to respect school personnel and their classmates.
- The confidence of students blooms inside and outside of school.
- Many dreams that children and young people have come true.
- Students are motivated to succeed throughout their educational experience.
- Learners embrace a future filled with promise.
- Students are more likely to graduate high school and continue their education.
The satisfaction that parents experience when their children experience educational success is priceless. And the parental pride that follows is cherished.
When parents continuously invest their time participating in their child’s education through their involvement and engagement great things happen.
And isn’t that the most wonderful way that a mother and father become a beneficiary?
