“You can’t end the war outside until you end the war inside.”
– Bill Kauth
Being a prisoner of your past or a prisoner of fear only allows you to experience life knowing love. Love is the thread that stitches life’s fabric together. Love is the glue of life. Life without love is a life of living in fear.
We begin to know the essence of love and then we become afraid. Love touches our hearts, awakens our souls and we rise in the moment we feel the fire of life. The flickering flame entices us, calls us to come closer. We step into the presence and the power of love and it causes us to quickly recoil. Yet still, we want more because we are willing to take the steps. We want to know to taste the flavors of this passion fruit. This is the beginning of the dance of fire, the circling of the flame.
Once we begin to know the fire of love its power, taste the sweetness of the juices of love, we become afraid. But we are just afraid the flavors will leave us and we will become hungry. We are afraid we may never feel or see the flame again.
When the palms of love touch us we begin to open like a budding flower, we are in the state of becoming to know our true selves. The touch of love awakens the longing to be recognized. The hands of love allows us to be seen. Love allows us to deeply feel the warmth of the open portal of our heart, the fire within. The touch of the fire frees our soul. This is the time to temper the flame, feed the fire in a lesson of intimacy with ourselves, our bodies and our souls.
Love is like drinking the water of life and finally tasting yourself, tasting the well of all of the memories of the love songs of the past, present or future. Do not put water upon the fire, you are only experiencing love.
Throw another log upon the fire. Step back and follow the pattern of the leaping flames. Studying each flicker of the flame’s speaking lips as you hear the sounds of crackling joy. We have come together again, to know the essence and beauty of life. Throw another log on the fire, so you may step into the echo that breathes life.
When we step into the bell jar and sit within its resounding sounds, we are rocked in the comfort of being home to the truth of the love that unites the heart and mind. Being in the state of love allows emotional clarity. Love allows us to experience a forgotten sense of home. We find a sense of safety within the basement, the attic and the main floor of our place of belonging. To be truly loved is to know love as a healing salve.
We all come into this world with a story to share. We come for an opportunity to share our voices of compassion with other human voices. We bring our story to share and unite with other stories. We are at home and alive within our hearts when we share in the trust of love. The human story always goes back to the safety of love. We are born of love.
In the comfort of being home in the state of love, we drop our walls of protection and begin the process of sitting with yourself to know your more intimate self. In the midst of loving, you will learn to know and share your voice of comfort or you will find your voice living within a bell jar laced in fear and discomfort.
Standing and waiting alone and outside the door, fear, loss and abandonment want entrance to come into the room in an attempt to put out the fire. But the fire of life must eternally burn. To feel complete and whole, your soul wants to feel the fire, so It is a time to strip yourself of your tattered clothes laced in fears. Trust the song of your heart and be in the fabric of faith of love in action. It is time to honor life and warm the channels of life. Put another log on the fire and be not afraid, end the war inside.
Fear, the war will only kill the flame of love.
