The cracked glass
At the gymnasium
Is more interesting
Than the unbroken panes.
Up close, the tiny cells of light
Formed by the cracks
Remind me of a honeycomb.
I like to look at this cracked glass
Between my routines, as though
It were a painting.
One of these days they will
Take it down, replace it
With a new pane of glass.
Till then, I have this
Accidental painting,
This honeycomb of light
To remind me of my cracks,
How they need not cursing
But a different kind of looking.
