- The thrilling moments from your childhood that you never forget.
- The speeches to teammates and fans that are larger even than the game itself.
- The tender moments among teammates.
- It’s why we watch. It’s why we play. It’s the stuff that rises up out of sports and settles down into us.

Today’s Heart of Sports moment comes from Major League Baseball.
Last month, the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox played a series out in London. Yankees right-fielder and superstar slugger, Aaron Judge has made a name for himself with how friendly and down-to-earth is with fans. At Yankee Stadium, he often casually chats with youngsters and even plays catch with kids in the stands between innings.
In London, Judge took his pre-game autograph signing to the next level, inviting some of the young fans onto the field with him and casually chatting with them the whole time. Take a look:

Why does this matter?
For the kids, it makes a lifetime memory. But it also teaches both them and every one of us that the most valuable thing we can give of ourselves is out time and attention. And to do it so easily and authentically – even when you’re a bigtime star – that really drives home the message.
