Knowing the feeling of not having:
Ithought of writing another financial piece. But then I thought, “That’s selfish, right? Yes, it is Julio. Because many are not invested.” I want to do more to help others that are financially strapped.
I know we do not know one another. But I understand what it is like to struggle to live on too little and to desire things I cannot afford.
I can feel the turbulence you must feel having a family and no emotional support. The holidays are tough when you cannot buy gifts for all those you love.
Please, do not be so quick to hurt yourself or others around you, for you will get what you desire in time; a little more patience is the key to your success.
— Julio Borroto
It is our wants that are killing us. We all want the best of everything, expensive clothing, a car that people will look at twice, a gorgeous home, and the everyday comforts of life. Getting it is not easy, and we know that. We look at those that have and wonder how they did it.
How did they get there? There are living the life that we would want for ourselves. But our impatient side makes it appear to be beyond our reach. We are fixated on how they got it, and we cannot.
We wish that money would fall out of the sky and onto our lap, like winning the lottery or something like that, right? And wonder, “What’s the next big thing? I need to know.” So, what is it that we do?
How someone else’s simple idea made others rich:
When White Castle was first established in 1921, they created their success with a small square oniony burger that sold millions.
Might you think they were the first to develop the burger, or do you think McDonald’s was the first? This might appear silly to you, and you think, “what’s the point?”
You should take a second and consider how many burger joints are out there, and they all copied one man’s idea. The designer of the burger was named Louis Lassen, and his little Louis Lunch sandwich shop was established in 1895 that made headlines.
Did those that read about his success on something so simple copy his idea? They did; look again when you bite into a burger at your favorite spot. The burger did not change, just the toppings.
Every burger joint copied Lassen’s idea, added toppings, or cooked differently. But they all mimic the idea to create what they call different and have succeeded in the burger industry.
How will you generate success:
I am not saying to open a burger place. What you need to do to get what you want is to get out of your comfort zone. Yes, I know, and I sense your fear. You will feel that it can be as hard as walking into a dark room, and you want to turn on that light.
But all that would mean is waking up earlier, exercising, and studying. Lay off the booze and drugs. Life is good without that stuff. Please, take my word for it; that I know it firsthand.
How to get out of your rut:
Your mind is like an athlete, and it needs training.
Self-love is the victory of the body and soul.
— Julio Borroto
Find a quiet relaxing spot. See yourself on a mountain top, and let your mind descend. With a simple smooth breathing exercise, deeply inhale and slowly exhale. Do those four times, and say to yourself the following mantra until you feel in you those words are true:
I will stop envying what others have and stop noticing what I do not have, and my mind and soul will work as one being — to be grateful for what I do have, and I will forget about those who have. I am new now and will focus only on myself to better myself because I love myself.
How to want and receive:
When you want something, stick to it, like a beautiful car, sparkly jewelry, or house. I want you to take a picture or cut the image out of a magazine of what you want. If it is something from a website, then print it out. I want those images to be physical for you to see. Hold onto those pictures and pin them up where you can see them daily for a month; that will be your vision.
Do not switch those images out because you decided you found something better to pin up. If you want it bad enough, keep those images and think about it before pinning them up. The rule is the same as with anything else that you want. You have decided you want it, keep it, and stay focused on the prize.
Wherever you have pinned those images, I want you to pull them down, put them safely in a box, and store the box somewhere where you will not accidentally toss them out. You will need to forget about them, which will take time. But in time, you will forget those images in your conscience mind, and they will move toward your sub-conscience, and there is where they will remain.
How to mimic your gold:
A good business is based on timing, demand, and how it will serve people.
— Julio Borroto
Anything worth wild is always challenging. Your search for gold will be like grabbing a shovel and scooping dirt to find it. To start, you will need something to keep track of your research and to jot down some notes.
Next, you will visit a search engine and type “Business Opportunities.” You will see a truckload of businesses you can start as you read through the listing. You will get an idea as to what you would like to do. You will find many paid ads and people trying to sell you into their business model; it will all sound compelling to get you to buy.
Remember, whatever business idea they sell, you can find the information for free and mimic the industry. Learn it and tweak it to make it better. They never release all they know, even if you pay them for their input; those people are out for your money; are not doing you a favor. However, they talk enough that they release information to get you started on your research. If you are willing to spend time making their business work, you are working for them, not yourself.
This is where the work begins, and whatever you do, again, do not buy anything they are trying to sell you. If you listen to a pre-recorded ad, listen to what they say, take notes when you can, and do not fall for the testimonials. Some are real heart-breakers that I even cried through one. They always offer more information the more they speak. Use those notes, and read more about the business they have started if it interests you. Repeating: I am sure you will be able to find cheap books on whatever they are doing.
I need to make a critical point that once you have found what you want to do to make money, remain focused on that task and do not veer from it. Refrain from asking why or when the money will come into your life or when you will have the things you want. Those thoughts will slow you down, and your success will move further away.
You have two goals:
The principle of success is to switch off your wants and focus on your needs.
— Julio Borroto
1. Choose one business to mimic, avoid jumping to the next best business idea, and stick with one focused business plan. Please, find out how the business operates; again, remain focused and on track.
2. You are so profoundly engulfed in your work and doing all you can to succeed that you are to forget your wants and work on your present needs. Allow me to clear that up for you: Stay busy with your business.
A short story about me:
There was a time in my life that I lost everything I had, even my self-respect. My gifts of love, hugs, and kisses were better than expensive gifts. That was all I could once afford when I had not a dime to my name and was close to living on the street.
I recall constantly changing the images on my vision board and what I wanted whenever I thought there was something better to desire. From my experience, that is the worst thing that I could have done. I was out of focus and hell-bent on what else I wanted to switch the images with — trying to find the next perfect image.
When things got better, I noticed that I became frugal, and I am now ready if I am ever tossed into another financial disaster.
My advice to you is always to remain steadfast.
Good luck, and I sincerely wish you well.
