There is a perilous gap one must leap in order to reach the mark—the mark of a man. He must face his greatest fear, not in the context of thought and imagination, but in the real-time gestation of his lived life.
No other form can provide the true lessons owed by him.
This is the paradox.
We are not owed anything in this life. On the contrary, we owe ourselves to it. We are given this time to embody a certain series of experiences that lend to the evolution of the great One—the All That Is.
It lives through us as a vicarious onlooker fused into the delicate structures of our DNA. We merely walk the path of unfoldment on its behalf.
This treacherous shift in perspective may draw a different meaning and purpose into our lives. Perhaps it will land upon us as a sense of relief or excitement.
So often in the times of my greatest struggles, I’ve sought to find refuge in the recesses of my cavernous mind. I would hide away in fear and set out to avoid it all.
Am I willing now, to surrender myself to the great One and allow life to be lived through me? To release my resistance and step fully into that which scares me most?
My choice in the matter has been made, and thus I may now relinquish the futile gymnastics of a gossipy and questioning mentality.
I will surrender into my fear and live it to be learned for All That Is.
I will leap the gap.
