Sometimes it is after the sun sets that the real magic occurs.

The subtle greys and pastel shades pick out incredible details that normally we miss.
However, it is the sudden stillness that seems to complement so perfectly these muted tones.
It is here at dusk that the mixing of night and day happens and there is a crepuscular alchemy as gold is sublimated into silver.
The sun hands over to the moon and to the stars, and the night walkers emerge one by one into their familiar Stygian world.
I for one like to linger a while after the sun has departed to participate in this quiet rite of passage of the day.
