We now appear to be in the dying gasps of this corrupt, old-world patriarchy, as it declines into stupidity, retribution, chaos and disorder. Now might be a good time to envisage what things will be like under the bright, shining auspices of a feminist social order.
Marriage would continue to be held as an honourable estate, in existence as the most perfect example of two souls intertwined, as it always has been, and the expectation that it can and should continue until death would be maintained. However, now its strength would be bolstered by a new generation of men, for whom housework is a form of paid employment, working as he does in his organically-grown vegetable patch in the back garden, which everyone will need to do to green the world’s cities. He sells his produce on the Internet but customers still visit him in the living room to sample his wares, so he’ll have to keep the house tidy if he wants to attract them inside. Furthermore, his impressive knowledge of female pleasure keeps his wife happy, who, in grateful thanks, keeps him happy, too, in a similar way.
Their children will attend pre-school, where unhelpful behaviours such as hair-pulling “because he likes you” are banned by female teachers who have been taught to nip this behaviour in the bud early. Grades 1-5 will feature opportunities to learn about great feminists of the past, study the social history of poor people and read books by people of colour and indigenous women will be added to the usual list of male authors. In middle and high school, there will be sex and relationship education that is age-appropriate, featuring lessons and debates on enthusiastic consent, the dangers of date rape and how to conduct romantic relationships in ways which honour women and maintain their personal safety at all times. At university, there will be compulsory minors in the female orgasm that must be studied in order to graduate. These will feature practical lessons, where male and female students are taught over a semester to give female volunteers the full range of different types of orgasm. This will be done in large rooms, featuring long rows of women on beds. Each student will be required to pass along one row of women, achieving a specific type of orgasm per lesson to all of them, so he gets the experience of the range of female response.
This state of affairs will be achieved by dramatically raising the status of prostitutes to that of a sex educator. All prostitution will be swept off the streets by new legislation, legalising and decriminalising the oldest profession. Madams will become supervisors in clean, well-appointed clinics, with adequate security, proper regulation and frequent safety inspections published quarterly. Men beyond the age of 22 will be required to learn the same pleasure skills as those at university before engagement or marriage.
Men from less well-off backgrounds, the unemployed or those who fail high school or university must instead do two years’ compulsory National Fatherhood Duty. This will involve them living in a commune-like environment together with mothers of children who were born because of rape or sexual abuse from the days of the patriarchy. The men will operate in teams doing work to provide money, food and other necessities to the women and children, who may join or leave at any time. Any of the men may have sexual access to any of the women but the other side of the coin is that they will never know who is the father of the children thus produced. They will, therefore, learn the value of fidelity after their Fatherhood Duty is over and use the pleasure skills taught there to return to normal life, eager to embark on relationships and marriage.
Businesswomen will embark on all manner of industries, setting up companies and becoming the entrepreneurs of the future. This will be achieved via coffee-shop style networking centres featuring massage therapy, hair and beauty, private meeting rooms and lounge areas. They will do deals in these places, sign contracts and conduct high-powered business meetings in a similar manner to the way men under the patriarchy used to do on the golf course.
Decisions on the admittance of men into positions of power in politics and industry will be based on how well those men integrate with the existing female-dominant business culture. Can he be trusted? Is he comfortable talking in an otherwise all-female boardroom? Can he sympathize with the personal issues of women?
I’ve been impressed by what I’ve heard about Killing Kittens, the exclusive club for the “sexual elite” that’s “dedicated to female pleasure”. Killing Kittens is an organization that arranges private sex parties and club nights in exclusive, elegant locations. All members are female. You have to be reasonably good-looking to get in – no fat guys or granny kinksters allowed. Everything’s tall, dark, handsome guys in business suits with six-pack abs and elegant, model-quality women of means and intelligence. What happens is that women show up and sexy things start happening. Men can only attend if accompanied by a woman and he has to stand against the wall until called over to “play”.
A similar but non-sexual approach could be used by women in the boardroom, where trust in this man or that man needs to be clearly demonstrated before he is allowed to take a seat in the C-suite.
What do you think of this vision of the matriarchy I have described? There are parallels between what I have just written and real, primitive matriarchal societies in China and elsewhere. Perhaps you think it sounds like pie-in-the-sky fantasy. You might think I’ve included too much sex. Maybe you are worried that the men sound like second-class citizens. They are not. They still hold down normal jobs as they do now but they have non-toxic masculinity and are emotionally literate, so women in power are not a threat but regarded by them as an asset.
There has been much talk of ending toxic masculinity; teaching men how to express their emotions in healthy ways; removing rape culture from society; eliminating harassment, abuse and misogyny. I have been thinking about all these things quite seriously. I suspect that misogyny has its roots in men not knowing how to emotionally connect and relying on sex to achieve this. When lack of emotional connection from him creates fear in the woman, this sets the scene for abuse and rape. Then a patriarchy develops, relying on power to force sex from women. Teaching boys to connect with and raising awareness of women’s issues in grade school is a solution. Then there’s the issue of wives and girlfriends and their consent to bad sex. So rolling out a national scheme to teach the orgasmic arts to all men everywhere would be a solution. The end of rape culture would then minimize abortion. To end an unwanted pregnancy, men should either stop giving women sperm or else commit to taking care of every conceived child. My suggestion of National Fatherhood Duty would address this. Forcing all men, regardless of whether they are rapists or not, to spend two years working for all unwanted children and their mothers would be excellent preparation for the paid housework he would later do in an exclusive relationship, creating the equal sharing women need to develop their careers. These women could then use Killing Kittens-style criteria to select trustworthy men to ascend to positions of power at work and in business.
Obviously, this matriarchy is just a suggestion of how things could go. No doubt it’s far from perfect. Nevertheless, if we pause and think about the burning issues of feminism, such as misogyny, rape culture, sexual abuse, harassment, etc., then the causes of these things, then turn our attention to what would solve them, then extrapolate these solutions to the national or global scale, a society similar to the one I have described will result. I’M EXCITED! Far-fetched though it may appear, I hope that something like this can replace the burnt-out, dying embers of embittered patriarchy that we are currently witnessing and that everyone everywhere can have a new and shining hope for the future.
