I know that some people may feel insulted since they KNOW they are working to their fullest potential, but are they really?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not even close to getting to my peak potential nor am I looking to reach it completely.
Saying to others that you are busy so they think you are “cool” is stupid, we aren’t in kinder where we looked to impress other kids with our new toys.
If you are busy cool, if you aren’t busy cool too! Being honest about this opens more doors than it closes.
There is no badge for being “busy” 24/7
If you can’t even go and do something for yourself from time to time then you HAVE to clean your schedule up a bit. Sometimes you can think that you are busy when in reality you’re not. Give your day a check and see for yourself.
With this I’m not dissing people that are genuinely busy all of the time but shedding some light to those that think that they are.
I completely agree that we have to work more than others to pursue our real dreams but I also think of how much time people waste on a day to day basis on mere distractions. (yes, social media can be distracting as much as I love it)
Think about it, how much time did you waste today on things that didn’t help you at all?
There is nothing wrong with not doing something work related every minute of the day, you DO need a break from time to time if you want to keep on going for more than a month.
Nothing breaks the momentum worse than burning out because you didn’t listen to your body when it told you to stop for a bit.
Even if your body doesn’t give you clues to stop or anything you should still take a 30 minute break after 10 hours working.
Much love to every single one of you!
