There were so many occasions in my life when I had to let go of people, places, opportunities, a chance of hope and what not. And every time it hurt!
The question kept nagging me — when will it get easier?!? 😞
And I have come to terms with the fact that it never will.
But the choice I have to make to whether let go of something or not, definitely has become easier.
It all boils down to this ☛ ☞ Would I want it if it was true & would I still want it even if it was false. It’s all about the scenarios we make up in our mind, isn’t it?
When we have to make a choice of letting go or holding on, we weight the conundrum on a scale 🍒 and the cycle 🚲 of what ifs!
If it is exactly like it seems (how I see) ➳ do I want it?
If I conjure scenarios of what ifs (how I want it to feel) ➠ do I want it?
If it is exactly like it seems & I question whether I should let it go, that means I don’t want it if that in fact is the truth & if I conjure what if scenarios that means what I see is false and then do I want to keep holding onto the lies?
For me, the choice is very simple. I will not hold onto a lie if I want to build a happy life cuz nothing happy or beautiful is made of lies. It just isn’t real! ⚓︎
And if I don’t want to stay with the truth in front of me, then I need to take an exit. ✄
It is not easy holding onto something that wants letting go but it definitely gets easier to let go of something that doesn’t want to be held.
☊ And so, I invite you to listen. ⚖︎
✦ And experience that calm! ⚙︎
