The Equality of Humility

Humility is often taught to the young
Not as objective but as personal
Not as equality but as less than
“…You as a person.
Are not to think of You.
As any better than any other…”
And generally “better”
Has its own definition
Meaning the opposite of More Than
As in Less Than
And sometimes it is taught
From fear instead of from love
But you are never Less Than
We all have Equality of value
You may not be More Than
But you are Equal To
Your value is immeasurable
Just as everyone else’s
Be humble towards God
Be mindful to not believe More Than
But never be humble to your purpose
Part of humility to God
Is to know He is Endless
And that His vision for you reflects that
God never puts you in a compartment
God never creates you to destroy you
God is expansive
And so are His plans for you
Just as everyone else’s
Less Than is an open door
Who invites too many limiting beliefs
When you agree with Less Than
You empower your fear instead of your love
You magnify beliefs that will fuel your actions
Which will then continually affirm
You are Less Than indeed
But all that time you could have been
Just as everyone else.
Humility is not helplessness!
Humility is about accepting the grace
That Love and all its victories
Are not only for others
But also as much for you.
You’ve got this!
