Each morning when I awake it is my task, my daily ritual to vision myself beyond the internal fears that are invading my dreams, my hopes of an abundant future, to be able to see past the darkness into the light of this morning. Still full of silent fear I see the light of the day peep on through my skylight above me, then I hear the birds singing in unison their individual songs that light the morning air and my ears are filled with melodies of serenity, notes of loving… and I am thankful to be awake.
Still, I have awaken to an earth that seems to be in angered fear with all the tornadoes, fires and floods. We are drowning, burning and being blown away and the pages of our daily newspapers are flooded with plagues of hate and division, aimless gun shoots into crowds. There does not exist seem to be cooperative conversations of healing happening between the parties of our country. There is so much anger and frustrations being acted out in our public shootings and our racist acts of hate. We don’t seem to know the answers to our fears and our failures. The American Dream is now a dream of money, property and prestige, an acquisition unveiling itself without having a working, compassionate heart.
Single Minded monologues of visioning plans for our futures seems to be the course of the day, the plan for our healing. I am losing faith in our political system. WE have pushed our earth and ourselves to a point of pain and we to change in order to find open air, clean water. Our society has to change its habits of living and become agents of solution and become awaken to our needed transformation. We are at rock bottom and asleep at the wheel and we need to open our eyes, hearts and minds to remember we have choices and decisions to make. Pain is an equalizer and can awaken you from a deep sleep. We have to sacrifice our notion of being in a world about “me” and flip it to a “we” visioning of purpose of being inclusive and compassionate in our redefining process. We need to find balance within ourselves and our communities.
But when I am awakened, I wonder what is it I can achieve with my own visioning to change the fear and turn it into faith? I also ask, am I a part of the problem, a co-creator of mass hysteria of division and hate?
Am I stuck in a habit of living that is not giving me the results or manifesting my emotional, physical and spiritual needs?
Am I living in fear or am I living in solution?
Am I creating new contracts of being present in all of my relationships by being a person of service to my family of origin, my community and the world around me?
Am I being love in action, working with a vision of intent of having a compassionate ear, an open heart paying it forward in random acts of love and courage, in order to feed a master plan of
rebuilding our infrastructure of emotional, physical and spiritual recovery for myself and those around me?
Am I aiding the earth to co-create with its evolution?
Am I living the full potential of my story as a human being in this modern world and am i becoming my gifting I have brought to this planet and its universal human story?
Am I large enough to make a difference?
Remember we are in a state of becoming and we are not perfect by any means. But we are capable to use our sense of choice and discipline to guide us to solution. I believe that 80% of what has happens to us as individual people is out of our control. But it is the 100% guided response of us as individual human beings that makes the difference and changes the alchemy of the people’s story on this planet. I believe we can create and step into a transformative process to manifest and activate our highest potential, our personal gifting. We alone are responsible for the manifestation of our vision of being. We want peace, we have to be peace. Pain, itself, is a great motivator to change. We have to reach a rock bottom before we get the courage to climb to the top.
I must first address my own personal story and my healing process, peeling back the onion of fear, pain and regret. I had to claim and name my intention of being a human story of service and change, and then become willing to be proactive to complete the change in behavior to reach my goal or intention. The key word is to become “willing.” We are all in a state of “becoming,” a constant evolving in our journey of life. We evolve, just as the world evolves. We all have a story and a story to tell and act out in an art of living.
In my “art of living” I have signed the contract to be more than I was yesterday, using new tools of development and outreach. I can be more present for the gifting of life by being in the midst of life in the clarity of purpose, connections in relationships, willingness to be of service, creating rituals of living that foster personal and societal healing and being a working part of being in the breath of life by feeding it, watering the garden of life with my daily actions that create change.
The glue or the substance that holds everything in place is the salve called love. “Anything you love can be saved…” says Alice Walker. If you love yourself enough then you can love those around you and then the train begins to leave the station. Then and only then can we begin the transformation of being love in action, being visionaries of solution and social change.
It is time to become awake and be present.
