This is a story of rising above
a releasing from the restraints
as a man locked up
in round corners of the man box.
Think “I” in the midst of your breath
be creative enough to rise yourself
into the depths of knowing angels
on the staircase, angles you can climb.
The angles of life have me in strife
but I have the right to rise
the angels of light are calling me
and I must answer dutifully
and I will step, if I can
I know I can be a better man
I can be a man for the human clan
In your obsessions to find peace you have weaved a karma
that would bury the dead
in multiples, repetitive lives of boiling fresh tea
in a white porcelain cup…
never drinking the tea
before it became cold
and then you just reheat it again from habit
mumble prayers for peace
as you pace in circles
attempting to be a Buddha stoic in a sitting position
waiting for the light of compassion to be yours
or a Christ with Saturn rings circling his head
floating within a blue sea colored sky
you with Saturn rings not knowing
the power of your rings as they surround your head
reflection the soul of your heart
and I know your story just like I know me.
Running from the labor, the prison of you day job
liberated you run to be free
in the moments after dark
when your spirit flew like angels
high in the night sky
chasing the moon songs speaking in you ear
speaking songs unleashed
from the sacred chambers of your heart.
It is within this time of being
you allowed your secrets to come to light.
Deep inside you know not all of your steps are holy
you keep on stepping
keep on walking
don’t back into the eyes of your history
trying not to regret the steps you have made.
Squaring off against the angles of life
chasing the wings of the angels
unsteady in my steps sometimes
as I rise up the staircase
just to fall down, roll down
to get back up and step up
to get in the swing of being square
in the middle of life of breathing the truth of
I needed to be free and clear
of the corners of my man box
free to respect the spread of my wings
my freedom in the sky.
The angles of life have me in strife
but I have the right to rise
the angels of light are calling me
and I must answer dutifully
yes I will step, if I can
I know I can be a better man
I can be a man for the human clan.
You seem to reserve the right to be called a messiah
because of your duty to lead the pack
but a leader must know how to lead
how to lead in the way of compassion.
Call on the strength of Angel Gabriel
know his sense of being annointed
as a messenger of peace and love coming our way.
We are ready to be lead to the promiseland
for we are in the midst of our forty days of walking and praying for resolution
waiting for our men of our world to come forth
and be men of love and compassion
be healers for our world
be the men with rough hands and a soft touch.
We are waiting for the alignment
the rising of spirit of the divine masculine
the joining with the divine feminine
so we may become whole and healed as one.
Our day job is to be the loving ones amongst the tribe
the caretakers of the seeds of life.
The angles of life have me in strife
but I have the right to rise
the angels of light are calling me
and I must answer dutifully
yes I will step, because I can
I know I can be a better man
I can be a man for the human clan.
A better man
yes I can, can be a better man
with angels walking behind me
holding me up with their wings extended
holding me up in the freedom of the sky…
yes I can handle being a helping hand
with the helping hands of the angels
as I rise up the staircase
on my way home…
a new beginning of a better man
not a fallen angel.
