You want to know why taking care of your inner-world, your thoughts, your beliefs and your conceptions of yourself are so critical?
Well for starters, it will determine how you spend the rest of your life (NBD, right…?)
The beliefs you hold to be true will always be reflected back to you by the world.
If you believe that success is stressful, your life will find ways to make progress hard and grueling.
If you believe that you are not good or worthy enough to get what you truly want, your life will find ways to reinforce your deep-seeded perception of inadequacy.
If you believe that your genetics, your upbringing, or your social status are the determining factor in how much you can accomplish, then your life will find ways to reinforce the limits you are imposing on yourself.
Because of our human tendency to let fear guide our decisions, we hold on to old and familiar beliefs that suffocate our potential.
We are taught that clinging to the way things are is the safest route to travel, so we unconsciously accept a construct of life that locks away our God-given ability to create whatever we want.
So if you are trying to upgrade your life without upgrading your mindset, it’s like trying to sail forward with 10 huge fucking anchors deeply lodged in the bottom of the ocean.
You ain’t going nowhere (picture this being said in a crude long-island accent).
So if you are feeling called to create more with your life (which I believe we all are)
And you want to start living more powerfully, authentically and abundantly (which I believe we all do)
Then replace the anchors keeping you stuck with big, bada$$ diesel engines so you can propel you forward like the limitless human that you already are.
And if you’re not getting the boat metaphor yet, this is my way of saying that if you want to create more freedom, connection and impact with your life, start with your mindset.
Because only then can you finally get the hell out of your own way and start cruising to the life you deserve.
