Groundbreaking fangirl fashion company and lifestyle brand, Her Universe, and leading specialty retailer, Hot Topic, an all-new Star Wars: The Force Awakens fashion collection featuring dresses, cardigans, jackets and leggings available only at select Hot Topic stores and online at HotTopic.com! The Force Awakens-inspired line features designs by the winners of last year’s Her Universe “Geek Couture” Fashion Show held at Comic-Con International in San Diego where finalists Leetal Platt and Kelly Cercone wowed the audience with their original, handmade creations on the runway and took top honors at the event.
As part of the grand prize, Platt and Cercone were rewarded the exciting professional opportunity to design an exclusive Star Wars fashion collection with Her Universe founder, Ashley Eckstein, for Hot Topic. To celebrate the hit film, The Force Awakens, and this brand new collection, Her Universe and Hot Topic have gone all out to create dynamic, stylish, high-quality fashions to awaken any fangirl’s (or Geek Mom’s , Sunday, May 8th is Mother’s Day!) geeky wardrobe.
“Star Wars Episode VII captivated the world and fangirls immediately started asking us for The Force Awakens fashions,” says Her Universe Founder Ashley Eckstein. “We are thrilled to be able to launch our new collection designed by Leetal and Kelly featuring designs inspired by everyone’s new favorite characters, Rey, Finn, BB-8, Kylo Ren and more!”
