According to a recent study, good-looking people don’t like to pay for dinner bills.
Researchers at the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland set up hypothetical blind dates. They asked 245 men and 171 women to rate their own attractiveness. The participants were then shown 12 different faces—ranging from unattractive to good-looking—and asked, each time, who should pay for the imaginary dinner bill.
About half—47 percent of men, 50 percent of women—said they would prefer to split to the bill.
In general, though, those who considered themselves good-looking were less likely to pay for the meal. Women were less likely to pay for a meal, especially if they thought the man was handsome. Men, on the other hand, were more likely to pay if they thought their date was attractive.
Dr. Michael Stirrat said:
You would expect people to have a knowledge about how good-looking they were and so the more attractive people in that context are just going to get more interest so they need to make less effort in that situation either to meet people, or get a chance to impress people, so it does make sense that more attractive people would be less willing to pay.
So, basically, you’re telling us that your study was completely pointless?
Here’s the plan, ugly people or good-looking people who happen to be dating someone who is ridiculously good-looking. Next time you go out to dinner, don’t offer to pay the bill. Let your date sweat it out. It’s the good old “alligator arms” tactic. Then, in a week, report back to me and let me know how single life is treating you.
But seriously, if a guy’s dating a woman who he thinks is too pretty for him, he’ll try to make up for it by picking up the tab. That’s just how it is. You put in the effort that you think is needed. You try to make up for that perceived gulf in attractiveness in ways that hair gel and plucked eyebrows can’t.

Well if your are black the bigger your booty the more willing the is to pay
Such an emasculated view of attraction perpetuated by emasculated men who have no idea what creates attraction in women
Idk….I was always taught that if I invited, I paid…and if I was the invitee, to make sure I had enough money on me to cover it just in case my date could/would not.
I think this study just called you ugly. Go get ’em.
if I evaluated my self worth by what was reported in studies,…I’d have hurled myself off the bridge years ago pal
