Over the last few weeks, I have spoken to many individuals during Manifestation calls about the “thing” that they desire to manifest and keep running into challenges around.
95% of the people I have chatted with say the same thing, “It’s not about the money.”
They say this with a tone of voice that shrinks them.
They have a poor relationship with money, the idea of money, the need of money and most importantly the deep reality that they want it.
As they share with me their magnificent ideas and goals of creation, almost all of them speak about being of service to our world society. Being great custodians of this earth and its people. Almost all of them share the desire to expand or start their own business that supports well-being and good deeds.
I have heard about ideas to start businesses around food distribution, helping the homeless, children, women, animals. I have listened to concepts of organic farming, getting off the grid and creating a village that is self-sustainable. Helping people overcome impactful health challenges, transformational events, tea and food products, Healing movement practices that they want to share, building buildings that support economical living for those who are struggling, charity ideas and so much more.
All beautiful!
All powerful.
All needed.
Truly our world is filled with dynamic, heart centered individuals that we often do not recognize on the day to day.
And with all this yummy goodness in ideas and goals of these big picture dreams coming to full manifestation in the physical realm, these same individuals have one common hold-back to making all of this and more happen.
Money!
Yes, when I ask what is the hurdle that you keep running into, they say, “Financial challenges.”
What a catch 22.
I mean seriously look at this and even ask yourself, do I have this challenge in what I want to manifest?
I know that through the last 35 years, due to how I was raised and what programs I bought into because the world around me supported it so, that I certainly did have this same hold-back.
Saying that I wanted and needed financial resources of large amounts to do what I feel so called to do, to accomplish what I want to accomplish brough up a feeling of yuck deep inside of me.
I truly felt like I was being self-centered, money hungry and focused on the money. I felt like my desire for the money somehow showed that my heart was not pure in my desire to be of service, to build something that helped. I felt like it made me a bad person.
And much like these souls I have been speaking with, I would say, “It’s not about the money.” Trying to make those I shared with see my heart and believe that I was not money hungry. More importantly I was working ever so hard to convince myself of the same.
The issue that I found myself in and I see with many of the people I am talking with, is that this concept that it is not about the money had created and supported an unhealthy relationship to money.
I would look out into the world and quickly point to all the people who had money and seemed to be arrogant assholes.
I would drive and find myself more irritated by the expensive cars on the road cutting me off then the everyday commuter cars. saying such things as, “Damn BMW or Mercedes drivers, think they own the road.”
I would look at everything they were providing for their families and think to myself, “Spoiled rotten. Will never understand the power of hard work.”
I would look at how they presented themselves physically and think, “Geese some people are so superficial.”
Quickly this would turn to, “Why can’t I seem to ever make ends meet? Why do people not want to work with me? Why can’t people see my value? Why is my business not getting off the ground?”
Never did I link the reality that my relationship was unhealthy with money to the outcomes that I was getting.
Until, one day I met someone who had a ton of money and showed me all the good works that they were doing.
Then I met someone else who showed me the same.
And THEN I got a mentor that was making over $4 million a year in her business at that time helping people change their lives, shift their relationship with money so that they too could be the positive ripple that they desired to be.
In venturing into the other pasture of thought around money, I started to see that it was about the money.
Money was not evil.
Money did not make good people with big, fantastic ideas do bad things, money instead supported everything and assisted them to be the RIPPLE, be the change that they wanted to see in the world.
In order for me to fully embrace my life calling I had to work on my relationship with money. I had to start to appreciate it, give gratitude for it, not see it as something evil or that there was not enough of it to go around. I had to realize and shift my views on it.
Once I started to look at it differently and actually spend time with enjoying it and all it offered to me, I saw quickly how my core value system had not been aligned to the having of it.
I would say that I valued hard work, truth, stability, compassion, growth, courage, faith, but when it came to money none of these values were being taken seriously, instead I would dance with my old programs that were all caught up in fear of not being a good person.
Which held me in a constant state of not having the resources that I needed to create what I wanted for others, to support my own family, to take care of myself, to not be burden on my family or society, or to grow myself. The lack of having money kept me in a state of stress, overwhelm and anxiety.
Never enough time.
Never enough energy.
Never enough of anything but hard work that exhausted me and kept me broke.
I was focused on the gap between where I was and where I wanted to be.
I was focused on the negative.
I focused on money BIG TIME.
The not having of it.
And the universe said, “Okay, you believe that money is bad, that it will make you bad. Here are some things to support that. You believe that life has to be struggle. Okay here ya’ go. You believe that money is stressful. Fine here is another bill you can’t pay, another thing you have to tell your children you can’t do because you don’t have two dimes to rub together.”
The universe brought me exactly was I was proclaiming 100%!
But, it does not have to be this way.
You can relax into a positive, supportive relationship with money. It can be a great lover of your life and support everything that you desire for and to do.
You can learn how to build this relationship container with money and be a big positive impact on our world because of it. Giving you the freedom and stability to do your great works. To be the person who can help make changes for others in need.
You just gotta learn to love money.
To embrace and cherish, honor and support it.
To realize that you do need it and it’s more than okay to want for it.
It most certainly is all about the money if you have a big dream to be of service, and asking for what you are worth, asking for the support of money is exactly what you must do every day.
So, here is my message to you today, if you are a person who struggles with money and your relationship with it but find that you have a big, impressive dream to be of service as well…
Romance your money.
Make love to your money.
Get cozy with it.
Check that values system out and get real about how you are most likely not in alignment to those values you hold so dear and its showing up in the smallest of thought formations and actions. It showing itself to you by your reasons and excuses, your fear and constriction around money.
You are a good person.
A person of value.
A person with a big, beautiful heart and mission.
God wants you to have everything that you need, you just gotta want it too.
As always loving you from here,
