‘Dunkirk’ A film that tells a thrilling true story
I have seen my share of war films. When done right they can be quite good. I knew little about this story before watching Dunkirk. I was able to watch this film early and here is what I thought of it.

In May 1940, Germany advanced into France, trapping Allied troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. Under air and ground cover from British and French forces, troops were slowly and methodically evacuated from the beach using every serviceable naval and civilian vessel that could be found. At the end of this heroic mission, 330,000 French, British, Belgian and Dutch soldiers were safely evacuated.

Dunkirk was an alright film. I did have some issues with it though. The film is told in three sections, and this made this movie hard to follow at times. It has a great cast and a pretty good ending. Dunkirk gets 6/10. It was a flawed film at parts, but overall was not bad. I liked learning more about the tale it told, and the cast all do a pretty good job. The sets, props and costumes are wonderful and really bring this story to life. If you are a fan of war movies, then this is one you may want to see.
