Power Rangers Dino Charge give puts an exciting spin on this long running series
When I first saw Power Rangers Dino Charge, it was at the tail end of the season. So naturally I didn’t like it that much. I wanted to see more of the season, but didn’t think I would have the time. This changed when I was offered a review copy of the entire season of Power Rangers Dino Charge. After finally watching the full season, here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Power Rangers Dino Charge here:
Millions of years ago, an intergalactic bounty hunter named Sledge tried to capture the Energems – ten mysterious colored gems with incredible powers. Keeper, the guardian of the Energems, fled to Earth, where he entrusted the Energems to the dinosaurs for protection. After the dinosaurs went extinct, the Energems were lost. Now, Sledge is back, and it’s up to the Power Rangers Dino Charge to hunt down the missing Energems and defeat the vicious Sledge — once and for all!
Power Rangers Dino Charge is a pretty good show. It has some flaws though. This season starts off kind of slow, and takes a while to gain momentum. It also doesn’t take long for this season to get predictable. Almost every episode ends the same way for most of the season, and this got dull for me quickly. This season also has a ton of rangers in it, more than it needs at times.
Yet this season has some good things going for it too. There are a lot more Zord combinations than I originally thought, so it was not always clear which one was going to be used to stop the monster. The cast works well together, and I could tell they had a blast making this season. Some of the newer rangers have cool introductions, and once they become a part of the rangers the whole team gets stronger. There is also a good few episodes that took me by surprise.
