The Space Between Us plays itself a simple romance but it is much more than that
When I first heard of The Space Between Us I was unsure what to think. Yet the film does have an amazing cast. I first saw it months ago and enjoyed it. After the release got pushed back some months I decided to watch it again. Here is what I thought of this movie.

You can read the plot for The Space Between Us here:
Gardner Elliot (Asa Butterfield), the first human born on Mars, begins an online friendship with Tulsa (Britt Robertson), a teen in Colorado. On his maiden voyage to Earth, the 16-year-old finally gets to experience all the joys and wonders of a world he could only read about. Problems arise when scientists discover that Gardner’s organs can’t withstand the atmosphere. United with Tulsa and on the run, the interplanetary visitor races against time to unravel the mysteries of how he came to be, and where he belongs in the universe.

After watching The Space Between Us twice now, I can safely say it is a good movie. All of the trailers push it as nothing more than a romance, but there is a fascinating sub plot there too. The film is cheesy at times, but has its real moments too. The soundtrack and score are wonderful, uplifting and full of strong emotion. The cast is really good, they play off each other well and Gary Oldman gives a solid performance here. If you want to learn more about The Space Between Us click on this website.

The Space Between Us gets 7/10. This film is full of emotion, and they are not always happy ones. The plot is rarely dull and moves in a fluid motion. The film throws a few surprises in there which raises this film up a bit because I originally didn’t see them all coming. It is not the best film I have seen in a while, but overall it is a fun movie.
The Space Between Us comes out tomorrow. You can follow this film on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
