We have no problem asking for help when it comes to our finances, but somehow we do not give ourselves this same permission in seeking professional services when it comes to our mental health.
The underlying fear with conveying anything outside the realm of hunky-dory, or life-as-usual, is that you will be marked as a threat and cast out of the herd of normalcy.

One of the biggest reasons people hesitate to seek help for their mental health is because they aren’t aware that what they are going through could actually be symptomatic…it becomes ‘their normal’. This can be especially true for stress-related issues.
The good thing for us is, while many of us have become out-of-touch with this primal connection, I assure you it is not lost.
