Should we make April 20th a national holiday in honor of marijuana? Due to the ever-growing amount of research, more people are accepting marijuana as a medicinal substance. Colorado’s economy has benefited greatly, which proves one of the many benefits of legalizing marijuana for recreational use.
Last year, marijuana had a record amount of success. Arkansas is the first Bible Belt state to legalize it for medicinal use. California joined Colorado and Washington as states that have full marijuana legalization. Florida is the first Republican state to have the highest vote percentage (71%) in passing medical marijuana.
Two New England states (Maine and Massachusetts) also legalize it for medical marijuana. Like Florida, North Dakota is another Republican state that legalized it after getting 63% of the vote. Nevada joined the list too.
With so much success in the last 6 months, perhaps it is time to consider a national holiday to honor the progress and success of marijuana. Do you agree or disagree? I want to read about it in your next article submission.
