My pills have changed my mind and they saved my life.
“Pills and more pills, pills for everything under the sun. Pills for all the kids and everyone”
Today there are more and more pills, pills for all of our ills. But some of us need pills to stay alive, pills to pay attention and pills to make life more than surviving our pain. I used to be negative about pills, but then my mind changed.
After a serious depression, I decided to take medication and I believe it was a good decision. For some people, pills can save our lives.
We each take our pills and our pills make us
It’s easy to bash pills. But in reality, we all take substances that change our moods and alter our minds:
- Food and over use of carbohydrates
Yes, pharmaceutical pills are made by companies driven by profits. We all know that companies that produce alcohol and food are community minded and not interested in profit.
Pills may change your mind, but so does television
Pills can change your mind, and for me that is a good thing. I have been to dark and anxious places that nearly ruined my life. I don’t plan to live in a dark place and medications help me to live a better life, along with exercise, improved relationships, and therapy. I have since been able to learn from my depression and it has changed me in a good way.
The myths of medications
The idea that pills create a happy, blissful and never-unhappy life is a myth. Pills don’t make you happy. Just like you won’t find happiness in a bottle, or in a bag of chips. You can never find happiness from something on the outside. Another myth is that you are weak if you take pills for your mood. I suppose people who believe that also believe that suicide is a good thing or that a lasting deep depression is something that should be endured.
“Blackness is something we never ever let show.” If someone is motivated to never let their darkness show, pills won’t help with that. Alcohol is probably a better way to hide our pain. Pills won’t hide the pain, pills make reality more bearable so that we can take the steps to improve our lives.
There are pills for everything today. I suppose that pills make the man, so choose your pills wisely.
