Frozen banana, vanilla protein powder, yogurt, and matcha blend into an ultra-smooth shake that tastes lightly sweet and surprisingly dessert-like without being over the top. It’s quick, easy, and perfect for busy mornings or that afternoon slump when you need a little boost!

I’m not usually a big protein shake person, but when I do make one, I want it to actually taste good. This banana cream matcha protein shake was inspired by my love of Starbucks’ Banana Bread Matcha, with frozen banana, vanilla protein powder, yogurt, and matcha blended into something cold, creamy, and easy to throw together whenever I want a quick pick-me-up. How to Make a Matcha Shake

Add the milk, ice, protein powder, matcha, banana, yogurt, vanilla, and maple syrup to a high-speed blender.

- Use a ripe frozen banana with a few brown spots for the creamiest texture and best natural sweetness.
- Use culinary or latte-grade matcha for a smoother, less bitter flavor.
- Blend thoroughly so the matcha fully incorporates and doesn’t leave any powdery bits behind.
- Add a little extra milk if you prefer a thinner, more sippable shake.
- For a thicker, frostier texture, use less milk or a few extra ice cubes.
