Abella Danger
fungus grows on the lips
of a cordless mouse
and seeks a kiss or two
clicks to connect void
into void and absence
warps into a fray
of spit and sweat
this LED lover
covered in fingerprints
and dust here we crawl
on tousled bedsheet toward
an open window in view
of eucalyptus and jacaranda

Abella Danger is a sex worker – a real human being who makes her living in the adult film industry, and very possibly augments her income as a dancer and escort.
Her life is hers – and not yours. She provides a service – and it’s not your business to judge her, or what she does, or her clients.
Why are you objectifying her by making her fodder for your “poem”. #StiopSexism.
Hi StopSexism, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I’m the poetry editor.
I chose to publish this poem as submitted because it represents one person’s encounter with pornography. I didn’t see any judgment in what was written, or any attempt to disrespect Abella Danger. Had I found the poem sexist, I would not have run it.
I do not want this to become a lengthy thread, but if you feel that the content of the poem is sexist, I invite you to elaborate. Especially if you’re a woman.

Are you so in thrall to the gender binary that you think sexism only happens to women? And do you really not recognize the many contexts in which sexism happens to men?
