Have you heard of the Dizzy Feet Foundation? They are an organization in Los Angeles, California with a mission “To improve and increase dance education in the United States through grants which support programs serving low-income populations and educational institutions working with talented individuals.”
In 2010, they launched National Dance Day as an annual celebration to take place the last Saturday in July. This grass roots campaign is designed to “encourage Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health and fight obesity.”1
An instructional video with The 2016 National Dance Day Routine is posted below. It includes a great new song, “Dance Like Yo Daddy,” by Megain Trainor.
Get your crew together, learn the routine and upload your National Dance Day Celebration with Dizzy Feet Foundation.
You can also view a list of all Dance Day activities here.
