ABCD…. 12345…. my name is……..

We are all part of a complete life which continues to make new experience out of the past. Life makes new out of old anywhere we look. Our memories are our personal building materials. Today’s exercise leads in the direction of understanding more clearly our memorized failure experiences.
Spiritual teachers point to our thoughts, emotions and physical actions as elements of experience. These teachings have unfolded into recognizing experiences don’t last. They appear, disappear, and we experience the fading residue as our memorized options.
I’m a lover of words and words in relationships that become caring. Today’s self care exercise uses the letters D O G to represent possibilities of exercising self love. Using the letter DOG suggest these goals: Determination Optimism Generosity. Consider your memorizing of the past, including meanings for these words, as you choose whether this practice is for you.
What have you memorized about you that is painful?
Most of us have printed on our souls the descriptions and somatics of events and relationships were painful. My goal is to help you understand that your responses in the present MUST be made of what’s stored in your body-memory.
The work of healiing is finding and transforming past trauma into present loving kindness. To find your memorized pain, answer this question: “What am I feeling right now that is memorized pain?”
Your response will be immediate and personal. You may shut down, draw a blank, feel strong feelings, or if you’re mindful, find yourself in a scene that happened in your life that is running on an endless loop waiting to be included again.df Each time the present looks enough like the past, we fill in the blank present with our memorized past responses. My favorite teacher:………………… My least favorite teacher……. Someone I trust deeply…………
These memorized responses work in theory, but also may expose need for adjustment of our thinking. You are not limited to memorized responses and can change at will. This type of change is difficult and requires determination, optimism and generosity.
Here’s a little practice for example: use three words Determination, Optimism & Generosity as a powerful suggestionof the body to become these qualities. When you breath in and out these three qualities, your awareness experiences them in your body.
For convenience the acronym DOG can be used to remind us of our choices.
Breathe each word in and out: Determination (in & out….. ) optimism (in & out…. ) Generosity (in & out)
If you try once, you will experience your use of thought’s creative power through your body, and you will feeling generous, optimistic and determined.
Each time you repeat the exercise you deepen the feelings of determination, optimism and generosity. The more times your repeat, the more you experience. How’s that sound?
I’m a lover of words and words in relationships that become caring. This self care exercise uses the letters D O G to represent choices of self love. This is memorizing success.
