The first batch of NCAA Tournament games are in the books and the Friday Sports Dump shines a flashlight on the upsets and the moments that make the sports fan upset.

It’s just a game.
At the end of day, it is just a game.
We love sports because it is a distraction from the world at large. We can get lost in the pageantry, ebb and flow, and passion displayed in every second of the NCAA tournament.
When the outcome of the game is taken out of the hands of the participants, one can only shake their head and wonder, why?
In the South Region, SMU could have clinched the game. The Mustangs had the lead and time on their side. Up two under 30 seconds left, SMU turned the ball over when UCLA was bound to foul, giving the Bruins hope. Bryce Alford took a contested three and it was nowhere close to going in.
Then the refs stepped in.
It’s a shame that on a day where two 14-seeds pulled of monster upsets, most people will look at that one play, one the refs took out of the hands of the players as the play of the day.

On the other hand, the tournament has never seen a first Thursday like this.
Here are the best, keep an eye on the coach in the first one.
