JJ’s House, an e-commerce retailer specializing in wedding dresses, compiled a list of the top ten countries to find a good husband, using data from seven key factors: gender equality index, male labor force participation index, average monthly wage, age at first marriage (male), divorce rates per 1,000 people, world happiness score 2024, and global attractiveness index. A composite score was then calculated, and countries were ranked accordingly to determine the top ten destinations for finding a good husband.

Norway ranks first with a composite score of 73, making it the top country for finding a good husband. Norway excels in gender equality at 0.879, the highest on the list. It also offers the highest average monthly wage at $8,538, ensuring financial security and social balance. With gender equality and solid economic stability, Norway is ideal for those seeking a reliable, equal, and financially stable partner.
Switzerland takes second place with a composite score of 70.4, making it another excellent option for finding a good husband. Swiss men are reliable but not overworked, with the second-highest average monthly wage at $7,930, ensuring financial security. Additionally, Switzerland scores high in male labor force participation at 71.55, showing that men are highly involved in the workforce and balance professional and personal lives.

Sweden excels in the global attractiveness index, ranking second at 84.4, and has a world happiness score of 7.34. Sweden’s strong focus on gender equality and emotional well-being makes it a top destination for those seeking a fulfilling, respectful partnership.
Denmark takes fourth place with a composite score of 67.0, offering another solid choice for finding a good husband. Danish men stand out for their sincere desire to please the woman they’re with, and Denmark ranks second in the world happiness score with 7.58. This country also offers a high monthly wage of $6,113, ensuring financial stability.
Ireland ranks fifth with a composite score of 63.6 and is one of the best countries to find a good husband thanks to its low divorce rate, the lowest on the list at 1.60. Irish men are loyal and ready to commit, ensuring high marital stability. With a monthly wage of $6,699 and a male labor force participation index of 70.40, Irish men offer a great balance of emotional and financial security.
Finland ranks sixth with a composite score of 62.5. Finland tops the world’s happiness score at 7.74, reflecting the country’s focus on emotional well-being. Although the average monthly wage is lower at $4,449, the emphasis on happiness and balance makes Finland an attractive option for those seeking a partner who values emotional well-being over material wealth.
Australia is ranked seventh, with a composite score of 62.0, offering a great environment for finding a good husband. Australian men are known for being laid-back and fun, making them ideal partners for those looking for a balanced relationship. Australia also ranks high on the global attractiveness index at 83.9, and with a male labor force participation index of 71.36, Australian men are well-employed and financially stable.
The United States takes eighth place with a composite score of 61.9, making it a viable option for those looking for a good husband. The U.S. ranks highest on the global attractiveness index at 94.7, and with an average monthly wage of $6,692, American men offer both financial security and emotional stability.
The Netherlands ranks ninth with a composite score of 61.5, where Dutch men stand out for their readiness to settle down and start a family early in life. The Netherlands stands out with the oldest age at first marriage for men, at 34.3 years, suggesting a mature approach to relationships. Also, the country has the lowest divorce rate on the list, at 1.50 per 1,000 people, reflecting strong marital stability.
Singapore rounds out the top ten with a composite score of 60.6, offering another excellent choice for finding a good husband. The country leads the list with the highest male labor force participation index at 76.19, reflecting strong workforce involvement and financial stability. Although the world happiness score is lower at 6.52, Singapore’s economic strength and global attractiveness index of 81.1 make it an appealing destination for those looking for a financially stable and committed partner.
A spokesperson from JJ’s House commented on the study: “Finding the right partner is about more than love—it’s about balance, stability, and long-term happiness. In countries with high gender equality and strong labor force participation, men are more likely to be financially secure and emotionally mature, creating the perfect environment for lasting relationships. Low divorce rates and later ages at first marriage suggest a thoughtful, committed approach to building a family. Meanwhile, places with high happiness scores and solid economic conditions offer not just emotional fulfillment but the security to grow together. For those seeking a partner who brings both heart and stability, these countries are leading the way.”
