I spent years being polished and professional… and really boring.
I was so focused on “doing life right” that I completely forgot how to actually feel it.
At some point, I traded magic for productivity. I was no longer curious about life, but tried to control it at every possible step.
And I could tell because I started saying things like:
- “Let me know what works best for you.”
- “No worries either way!”
- “It’s fine!” (when it was not fine)
I lost that spark with life.…
What Flirting with Life Is (It’s Not About Men)
When I say flirting, I am not talking about giggling at a bartender or tossing your hair on a date.
Flirting with life is how you show up with everything.
- How you greet your morning coffee.
- How you move through a crowded room.
- How you laugh when you’re alone.
- How you talk to the mirror when no one’s watching.
It’s a vibe, yes, but not one you manufacture.
It’s the one you allow.
I Knew I Was Becoming Magnetic When…
I caught myself dancing in the kitchen while making pasta for no one but me. I said “mmm” out loud after the first sip of wine. I wore red lipstick on a Tuesday without having a date. I posted something online without over-editing it 15 times. I walked away from a man who was giving me mixed signals and felt powerful, not rejected.
I stopped managing how I was perceived, and started showing up how I actually felt.
And yes, more aligned men showed up. My friends asked, “what are you doing differently?” Last weekend, a woman came up to me at the bar saying, “I just wanted to let you know how magnetic and beautiful you are. We, women, should support each other”.
And, the weirdest thing was, I no longer felt embarrassed or at a loss for words. I felt that truth within my body.
The “secret” is simple:
I am flirting with life again.
So, how do you flirt with life?
It’s less about learning new tricks and more about unlearning the bad habits that dull your shine.
Invite sensuality into your life.
Seriously.
Make your to-do list that turns you on, not the one that makes you feel productive.
Yes, pay your bills. But also… buy the lingerie you have zero plans to wear outside your apartment. Dance in the evening wearing it because it makes you feel sexy.
Make your skincare routine feel like foreplay. Talk to your body like it’s your best friend. Turn your routine into a ritual.
Because magnetism isn’t about what you do. It’s about how you do it.
Say what you mean.
This one was hard for me.
I used to edit myself so hard. I wanted to be relatable. Chill. Now?
I say things like:
- “It doesn’t feel aligned.”
- “I need some time before I respond to that.”
- “I’d rather not continue this conversation if it’s going in circles.”
It’s not always graceful. But it’s real. And real is magnetic.
Magnetism isn’t about what you do. It’s about how you do it.
Move your body like someone’s watching, even when they’re not.
Especially when they’re not.
How often do you only dance at weddings or clubs? Or only walk confidently when you’re dressed up?
F*ck that.
You are the moment. You don’t need an audience.
When you treat your body like a main event, life starts treating you like one too.
Let yourself want what you want, without apologising for it.
Desire is hot. Period.
- Want a more fulfilling life? Say it.
- Want a partner who spoils you and respects your boundaries? Say it.
- Want more money, more time off, more passion, more anything? Say. It.
Nothing is more magnetic than a woman unashamed of her desires.
Desire is hot. Period.
Laugh more. At yourself.
One time, I tried to flirt with a man in a grocery store, and then, I slipped over the grapes scattered on the floor. My embarrassment level went through the roof.
I limped home with a bruised knee and a bruised ego. But I laughed. And I called my best friend, and we laughed again. And I felt at peace with it because I wasn’t attached to an outcome. I was just human, funny, alive and with stories to tell.
Flirting with life means being okay with it not going your way, and still enjoying the ride.
Stop trying to Be Chosen.
That’s the secret, by the way.
Magnetism isn’t about being liked. But being undeniably present.
So that when you walk into a room,
or post that photo,
or speak your truth,
or dance like you invented rhythm,
You no longer focus on whether people approve of you.
You’re thinking, God, I like me.
You’re busy flirting with the sky. Your own body. The moment. And the version of you who no longer needs to prove anything to glow.
Flirting with life means being okay with it not going your way, and still enjoying the ride.
You don’t need more effort.
You need more joy.
More softness.
More embodiment.
More “f*ck it, I’m wearing red lipstick at 9 am just because I feel like it.”
Start now.
Make your coffee with no rush.
Say “mmm” more.
Let your hips lead when you walk.
Tell the truth.
Dance badly. Want boldly. Laugh loudly.
Stop chasing and let life chase you.
That’s how you become magnetic.
It’s who you already are when you stop trying so hard.
Stop chasing. Start attracting.
