Relationships are beautiful. However, people sometimes get bored and irritated by this.
For Example. Sam and his friends went hiking on the mountain. They reached the camp site at 5 p.m. in the afternoon. They started clicking photos.
But photos. There was a campfire, and they were sitting there. But at that time, one common incidence made Sam irritated.
At that time, he was talking to his girlfriend about the view, and he wanted to get intimate. He just wanted to be romantic with his words, but his girlfriend was on the phone and barely listening. His face betrayed his irritation, but he chose not to inform her girlfriends.
These are common incidents that make people feel bored in relationships.
#1. She never takes initiatives for anything.
This was particularly frustrating for him. They both went on a date to an Italian restaurant.
He started the conversation by asking, “How are you?”.
She said, “Fine!”
But she didn’t ask the question back. That is, how is he?
He had to keep the conversation going by asking questions over and over again without getting any interesting answers in return.
His date’s answers were short, which often left awkward silences.
When he talked about this with his close friend, he said, “It felt like I was interviewing her for the whole evening, and she just wasn’t interested in asking anything about me.”
During conversation, either it is in a relationship or a friendship. A balanced exchange is important. And science also proves this. Especially when one person is continuously driving the conversation, it makes them bored. This mismatch not only makes exchanges less fun, but it can also make people less satisfied with their relationships.
It feels like things aren’t fair.
Also, another example is a guy named Miller.
He said, “My girlfriend never initiates the sex; she keeps laying on the bed and waiting for me to start and do everything. It makes me bored.”
We can take this as an example of sexual rejection and diminished self esteem. It only breaks up.
#2. When her text Messages are bland
He messaged her when he reached Baguio.
His message was: “Hey, Cristine I just arrived in Baguio to meet you.”
She replied, “Okay, cool.”
Such lifeless messages that don’t show any feeling or personal touch don’t pique interest or connect, which makes people feel disconnected from their relationships.
Research shows that messages that is full of feelings is important for bonds. Oxytocin can be released when you send an emotional text, which makes you feel closer to your partner and warmer.
On the other hand, dull texts don’t make you feel anything, which makes it harder for people to connect and reciprocate in a meaningful way.
This can stop oxytocin from being released, which can make you feel less connected.
#3. She focus on Instagram more then herself
This is the “Instgaram Paradox.” This game is so hard. It seems like we get farther away from who we really are the more we look at those carefully picked feeds.
I remembered about Jess, who spent so much time trying to make her Instagram page look perfect.
And Jomar, who was her date, made fun of her by scrolling through his news feed. She spent half the time making sure her latte was just right.
You see this all the time, right? Someone is so focused on getting some kind of perfect picture that they don’t notice the moment itself. This behavior can be specially annoying, especially if you think the other person is more interested in getting likes than in talking to you.
But you know what’s more important — It’s not just about the girl and boy. It’s about having a real relationship. Like me, you everyone desires to receive genuine attention from their friends, family, and yes, even dates.
The truth is that the magic happens when the phones are put away and the eyes meet.
