Breathe In
You’ve come so far
Breathe Out
Not everything needs to come with
Breathe In
Expand space for clarity
Breathe Out
The past fades away
Often our burdens
Are a series of knots
And the one that started it all
Was a long time ago
It is well over
But fear keeps us tied
If we don’t face our past
The present triggers those first feelings
And our heart lives in many knots at once
Breathe In
Your peace is not so far
Breathe Out
Your past must not come with
Breathe In
Expand space for the next you
Breathe Out
Your limiting beliefs fade away
The shore meets new waves every moment
Yet it is still joy
Each wave is only now
It does not dread
That old wave that crashed
That terrible storm that once blew
There is just the present
With the breeze that is here now
Breathe In
Don’t respond, only watch
Breathe Out
The past goes out with the tide
Breathe In
As a new present blooms
Breathe Out
Your new place is here now
It was not your fault
Fear is the only one who defines you by it
You are still your own
Love can be far more powerful than the pain
You’ve got this.
