Music: Chuck D (@mrchuckd) Elevates Kanye West’s “Otis” Track

The trend of "freestyles" (not raps off the top of your head, but writing a song over someone else's instrumentral) is dominating the mixtape field these days, and "Otis" by Kanye West and Jay-Z (calling themselves "The Throne") is the flavor du jour. Styles P, Jadakiss and many other have stepped in to rhyme over this "Try A Little Tenderness" sample … but nobody, nobody did it like this …

Relentless, political, unapologetic. This hits the web one day after Chuck D's 51st birthday, and with his flow fitting this stacatto-step beat so perfectly, it shows that some people don't have to worry about getting too old to rap. Nice!
