From the people who brought you ‘Family Guy’ and ‘New Girl’: two volumes of jokes for the john.
It’s been a while since I’ve had a book I thoroughly enjoyed having at arms length for a quick laugh, and this year brought us two. This past summer brought us Robots Feel Nothing When They Hold Hands written by Alec Sulkin, Artie Johann and Michael Desilets (aka the team that bring you Family Guy). And this month brings us The Douche Journals: The Definitive Account of One Man’s Genius by Schmidt. Schmidt is the hilarious character brought to life by Max Greenfield on FOX’s New Girl and one the breakout characters of the year. Featuring hysterical Schmidt-isms like: “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it dressage,” or “If I were a black Scientologist, I would call myself L’Ron Hubbard.” These books will invoke the kind of adolescent chuckle you haven’t had since your mom threw away your copy of The Mad Bathroom Companion.
New Girl’s second season starts tonight at 8PM on FOX, and Family Guy returns Sunday, September 30th at 9PM, also on FOX.
