Lead Dads Editor Rob Watson recaps the conversation we had here at the Good Men Project this week. Daughters bonding with dads in garages, and elsewhere. Then there were the super heroes. Catch up on anything you missed.
—
It was a week where two daughters each recalled the bond they shared with their dads in the garage. Amongst the oil and grease, valuable life lessons were learned.
Another dad suddenly realized, garage or no, that he had succeeded in becoming a role model for his daughters.
While one dad pleaded with all parents to be super heroes, two writers revealed how the hot super hero of the current movies, Ant Man, was making a variety of statements about modern dads.
Our dad of the week share about the importance of being a father, while we discussed connecting with our kids, exploring our softer side, finding the way to our kids hearts, cleaning their messes and still setting boundaries.
We fought against the demons of our world from our “mean girls” within, to legacies of addiction to dealing with a prejudiced world around us.
We even tackled circumcision… sort of.
That was our week that was, and if you didn’t join us for it then… you can now!
