100 Words on Love, by Shemshon Williams
–
Nightly, I rubbed her tummy to relax you both, and help you sleep. When you wanted barbeque, I reminded her you only wanted a taste, and eating too much would make her sick. When you both wanted ice cream at ungodly hours, I groggily walked store aisles to find just the right brand and flavor. We all gained weight from early morning trips for waffles. When you finally arrived, mine was the first face you saw. I saw her in your eyes, and myself in your smile. Now that we have divorced, you keep us all bonded in love eternally.
