Multi-tasking can lead to doing everything but what you intended. So how about single-tasking?

In my house we call this “Oh, look, a squirrel.” You start doing something that leads to something that leads to something that distracts you that leads to…an hour gone and nothing of the original task done.
I’ll bet you don’t even realize how much you do it until you start thinking about it.
So Dr. James Hamblin has come up with something that might seem novel to those of us always trying to do three things at once. And it goes for more than just doing work and using gadgets.
And yes, I was startled at the end, too. Because I was guilty of exactly what the good doctor was saying.
At least the first time I watched it.
