There’s nothing better than celebrating a holiday (St. Patrick’s Day in this case) with traditional music, U2 isn’t necessarily traditional Irish music so we included the following video.

Holiday’s make us think about wonderful memories and time with friends and family. For me, St. Patrick’s Day brings back a lot of memories, many of which are somewhat foggy and broken into little pieces. I can’t imagine why.
As a kid I never understood my heritage much. Then one day when I was in college I stumbled into this antique shop with a bunch of old Irish and Scottish family crests on the wall. I found my last name in both the Irish and the Scottish section. It’s funny how that happens sometimes. You learn the history of something you didn’t even know you were looking for.
At GMP we wanted to help you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a little discovery of your own. Enjoy some traditional music while you work, or procrastinate. It doesn’t matter to us as long as you enjoy!

My mom’s family is from Ireland and so we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a lot of music. This year, we listened to some famous patriotic songs about Ireland as well as some more traditional music. Listening to Irish music is a learning experience all in its own right. When we listen to the music, I really feel like I am in my mom’s country. Thank you for sharing these songs with us!
