Let’s put a stop to this hurtful behavior.

Gossip is a shameful behavior and often a form of bullying.
A behavior mostly demonstrated by people who lack self-confidence and don’t understand their own goals and desires or where their attention is better focused.
I am no angel—I don’t pretend to have always been perfect in this regard—but I do strive to keep people in the positive light they see inside themselves. Often it is just that—a misunderstanding via an assumption of meaning, then talked about as if their intention was just to hurt, manipulate, and control. So often we don’t seek to understand and, sadly, just like to jump to these hurtful conclusions.
No one wins when we gossip. It fills that time in our life with negativity.

So I am trying every day to listen more. I want to help, not control. I want to find more ways of motivating good ethical behavior rather than just justifying my reactions through others’ actions.
Leading by example is the best weapon I have against the gossip of the world. I am looking for ways to discourage, not participate, and provide space for others to think about their role in any such actions.
No one wins when we gossip. Someone gets talked about, and someone gets looked down on for assuming reasons for the actions. It fills that time in our life with negativity.
I will try every day to be the diffuser. I will always try to say nice things about others. I believe in my heart that we are all doing the best we can. I just wish the world reflected this understanding in each other a little more and forgave a few more of our human flaws along the way.
