With the definition of manhood constantly evolving, GMP wants to know: What life lessons or experiences truly turn a boy into a man?
—
It’s long been said that it’s a man’s world–that one can tell a lot about a man by the way he treats his mother or his dog. The very definition of manhood has relied on those ideals, and the way society defines a man has changed with the times.
In light of GMP’s recent launch of “Seven Things About Being a Man”, we want your stories about lessons or experiences that make you a man. Is there a long lost piece of advice you wish you would have heard in your childhood, withstand a traumatic experience or did a father figure or mentor come into your life at a time when you needed guidance the most?

We invite you to send your stories to our Social Justice Editor, Erin Kelly, at [email protected]. Please include a potential title and subhead for your piece. If you’re a new contributor to GMP, please send an inquiry along with your submission.
Thank you for being a part of the conversation no one else is having!
