Things could be going better for "real life super hero" Phoenix Jones. After trying to break up a club night dust up with pepper spray, he was charged by the police but utimately released.
However, during the proceedings, he had to be unmasked, and was revealed to be Ben Fodor, a teacher of disabled and autistic children. His job wasn't too keen on his crime fighting abilities, and he was fired, while a letter winged its way to him from the State Department of Health and Social Services, saying
"It basically just said that effectively immediately, I was no longer able to work with disabled or autistic children," he told his local NBC affiliate. "The reason is because I was put on a list of people who interject themselves into dangerous situations and some government agency put me on that list."
Everybody isn't Tony Stark — somebody has to be Peter Parker, and for those kinds of people, keeping the mask on is just good business. No word on whether the state DHSS head looked like J. Jonah Jameson, but reported would-be super villains sighed, realizing real life is far better at breaking down heroes than giant killer robots could ever be.
