A new threat is coming in ‘Shadowman: Rag and Bone’
I have read some pretty good graphic novels lately. Most of the have focused on well known DC characters, but a few have told different tales entirely. Shadowman is one of those graphic novels. I knew little about Rag and Bone going in but I decided to give it a shot. Here is what I thought of this graphic novel.
You can read the plot for Shadowman: Rag and Bone here:
As Shadowman returns to New Orleans with a revelatory new understanding of the immense abilities within himself, he won’t have long to adjust… because a war for control of the ultimate magical artifact – the bones of Master Darque, his old arch-nemesis – is about to erupt out of the underground and into the harsh view of day!
On one side: The Brethren, a society of wealthy and powerful occultists obsessed with Darque’s resurrection and ushering in a millennia-long reign of darkness. On the other: Shadowman’s old allies from The Abettors… and Darque’s own sister, Sandria, who would like nothing more than to grind her brother’s bones to dust…
The endless cycle of death and rebirth stops here as Shadowman and the Darque clan usher in the reckoning they’ve waited ten lifetimes to achieve – with massive repercussions for the future.
I had a great time reading Shadowman: Rag and Bone. It had action, mystery, suspense and some pretty well done characters. The main character was at odds with a powerful entity inside him, and they didn’t always agree on everything. But when someone tries to come back from the dead it is up to them to stop them. The battle is fought on many different levels, and there were many times when it looked like they had lost. Yet with perseverance and determination they may find a way to stop this threat before it is too late. If you are looking for something different to read then you may want to check out Shadowman: Rag and Bone.
Shadowman: Rag and Bone comes out March 29th. You can pre-order this graphic novel on Amazon, at Barnes and Noble and IndieBound.
