‘The Lion King’ Returns in an all new special edition
I really like The Lion King. It has great music, wonderful characters, a dastardly villain, and tells an amazing story. This film has spawned sequels, a Broadway musical and a few cartoon shows. Now this film returns to Blu-Ray in a new signature edition. I was able to get a review copy and here is what I thought of it.

Simba’s wicked uncle, Scar, plots to usurp Mufasa’s throne by luring father and son into a stampede of wildebeests. But Simba escapes, and only Mufasa is killed. Simba returns as an adult to take back his homeland from Scar with the help of his friends Timon and Pumbaa.

It was a true joy watching The Lion King again. ‘The Recording Sessions’ took viewers on a trip into the past with the cast as they recorded each of their characters. ‘Inside the Story Room’ revealed how different scenes were pitched for this film, and showed how much key scenes changed as this movie was being made. There were also some great deleted and extended scenes. To learn more about The Lion King click on this website.
